You've got questions, we've got answers

How much does a Pursuit Series event cost to attend?

A Pursuit 3-Day Pass begins at an early-bird discounted rate of $399, with a limited number available at each increasing price level. Pricing gradually increases until it reaches the full price rate ($599) or the event sells out.

What's included in my registration fee?

Your registration fee includes 250+ activities and classes to choose from, all the required gear for those activities and classes, meals Friday morning through Sunday lunch, complimentary alcoholic beverages for 21+ participants, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages for all, live music, evening happy hours, and an awesome welcome bag stuffed with hundreds of dollars worth of goodies from our partners.

what other costs can i expect?

Pursuit 3-Day Pass includes all of your meals, drinks, expert instruction, classes, and gear for activities, but it does not include your lodging. There are great on-site camping and glamping options, as well as more traditional lodging options. With all of these options, you'll be able to find the one that works best for your desires, comfort level, and budget.

What meals are included in the weekend?

There’s nothing better than breaking bread with the people you’ve been sharing the trails, rock, and water with, so Pursuit includes all meals Friday breakfast through Sunday lunch. Special attention has been paid to offering choices that meet the needs and dietary desires of all participants.

For those who arrive on Thursday afternoon for Early Check-In: Thursday dinner is NOT included with registration. Please check pre-event emails for on-site meal options, or plan to bring your own Thursday night dinner and drinks.

Is the food gluten-free, vegetarian and/or vegan-friendly?

Yes, special attention has been paid to offering meal choices that meet the needs and dietary desires of all participants.  If you have a severe food allergy or sensitivity, please consider bringing food choices that can supplement those being provided by the event.

What lodging options are available?

There are on-site camping and glamping options available at each location. However, if you do not want to camp or glamp, there are traditional lodging options available, usually through either the host resort or nearby lodging providers.

Is there a discount for military?

Yes. We are happy to provide a 10% discount off of your total registration cost. Please email us at pursuit@theoutbound.com to receive your discount code.

Are there bathrooms, showers, sinks, and charging stations for camping?

Heck yes, we want you to be taking it outside and getting sweaty and dirty! Restrooms, showers, and hydration Stations will be available to all on-site campers at no extra cost. Also, we will have conveniently located charging stations for you to charge phones, etc!

Wait, is this a good deal, or kind of expensive?

With such a unique event, we know that it can be hard to tell at first glance. But considering a single rock climbing lesson will typically cost you around $150 or more, and that our 3-Day Pass will enable you to take multiple lessons and classes per day, it's actually an amazing deal. And that's before you even factor in the included meals, beer/wine, music, s'mores, coffee, snacks, fun surprises, and welcome bag stuffed with hundreds of dollars worth of goodies from our partners.

When should I arrive?

Early check in for camping will open Thursday at 3pm. Do NOT go pick out a camping location and set up camp before coming to the Pursuit HQ to Check-In first! At Check-In, you’ll be provided with your camping bracelets and (if applicable) assigned camping location.

If you aren’t camping, but want to check in early, the early Check-In is open for you as well on Thursday from 3-6pm. Come get a jump-start on Friday morning’s early activities by getting your wristband Thursday.

What if I can't arrive on Thursday night?

Pursuit HQ Check-In will open at 8am on Friday morning. We’ll be waiting for you.

If I arrive after 8pm on Thursday, can I still check in to my tent?

If you plan on arriving after 6pm on Thursday night, please let us know in advance so we can plan on your arrival and have someone who can check you in and show you to your camping location.  Email pursuit@theoutbound.com to let us know who you are and when you plan on arriving.

When should I depart?

Pursuit officially concludes at 3pm on Sunday. Please stick around to the bitter end and celebrate with us! The campgrounds close at 12:00pm on Sunday, so please clear out all of your personal belongings and gear prior to that time, but keep enjoying Pursuit until 3pm!

Are there any limits to the number of classes I can take?

Certain popular activities such as mountain biking, SUP, and rock climbing are limited to 1 per session type so that everyone has an opportunity to sign up for those activities.  These limits are typically lifted once we are within a few weeks of the event, at which time you can add as many in each session type as you like.

Are there any rules or guidelines for campers/glampers?

Important rules for Campers/Glampers:

1.  Campers/Glampers must check in at Pursuit HQ to receive their camping wristbands and assigned glamping location (if applicable) prior to setting up or transporting equipment to any campsite.
2.  Although some campsites may be accessed by car, parking will be in a single designated area away from the campgrounds.  Do not park your car next to your campsite.
3.  Some campsites come with a fire ring, however no wood gathering and/or fires are permitted.  Communal fire pits will be located around the main festival area.
4.  Camp stoves and similar devices are not allowed!
5.  Shower facilities will be available and are free.
6.  Quiet hours in the campground are from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
7.  The earliest check-in on Thursday is 3:00pm and the latest checkout time on Sunday is 3:00pm.

any tips about setting up our personalized schedules?

Below are some tips for creating a weekend that is fun, educational, and fulfilling:

1.  Start with a basic schedule (3-4 activities per day) and add others over the weekend.  You might be amazed at what inspires you once you are at Pursuit. Use the Pursuit app during the event to see what activities and classes are available or to update your schedule as needed.
2.  Build in periods of rest and recovery between activities. Filling every hour of every day is exhausting and unrealistic, so plan on at least 30-minute breaks between activities.
3.  Be adventurous and try new activities. You may love your sport of choice, but this is your chance to try activities that you wouldn’t otherwise.  Go for it!
4.  Be sure to return occasionally to your custom schedule to see what new activities and classes have been added.

No, we have designed the class structure for beginner and intermediate-level skilled participants.

Heck yes, we want you to explore, discover, and try the new and unexpected all weekend!  Your schedule will be dynamic and adaptable until the end of the event weekend. This means if you aren’t going to attend a class that you previously registered for, please drop out so someone else has the chance to take your spot.

There are 2 ways to monitor your schedule and make necessary changes:

  • Use our custom Sched App - The easiest way to see your schedule, make changes, etc…
We will inform all attendees when the app is available for download.

Yes. Not only is the required equipment for all of your activities and classes provided, but you will be using some of the best gear in the industry.

Do I have to participate in all the activities and classes?

Will there be cell coverage and/or Wi-Fi at the locations?

Pursuit locations are in the mountains where cell and wi-fi services aren’t always 100% reliable, depending on your provider and/or the area. All 2018 locations have access to the major cell providers, however dedicated wi-fi access is likely not an option.
