You've got questions, we've got answers

How much does CamelBak Pursuit cost?

An early-bird 3-day pass is $399. A full-price 3-day pass costs $499. There are a limited number of passes that are available for the early-bird discount. When those passes are sold out, pricing gradually increases until it reaches the full-price rate, or the event completely sells out.

wait, is this a good deal or not?

This is an amazing deal. Consider that a single surf or rock climbing lesson will typically cost you at least $100, and that our 3-day pass will enable you to participate in several lessons and classes each day. And that's before you factor in the complimentary coffee, beer, camp cocktails, wine, music, s'mores, fun surprises, and an epic welcome bag filled with hundreds of dollars worth of products (that you'll actually use) from the top brands in the outdoors.

what is included in my registration fee?

Your registration fee includes hundreds of activities and classes to choose from, all the required gear for those activities and classes, complimentary coffee, alcoholic beverages (for our 21+ participants), live music, snacks throughout the day, evening happy hours, and a welcome bag that includes hundreds of dollars worth of awesome products.

what is NOT INCLUDED?

Lodging and meals. There are great on-site camping/lodging options offered so you can find the one that best fits your budget and needs. And meals are structured the same way - several options are available for purchase throughout the weekend, from gourmet food trucks to mountaintop dinners. There’s a Little Sumpin' for everyone.

What meals are included in the weekend?

A variety of breakfast and lunch options will be available on-site for purchase based upon the location of the event. And both Friday and Saturday night have optional group dinners available as an add-on option. These are amazing meals where you’ll be breaking bread with the people you’ve been sharing the trails and waves with, so purchase your dinner tickets before they sell out!

What lodging options are available?

There is limited on-site camping at each location. If you do not stay on-site, there are several alternative options available. At Snowbasin, Lakeside Resort (use discount code: PURSUIT2017) offers condos just a short 10-minute drive from the resort. Airbnb.com also lists a plethora of properties within a short drive of both Snowbasin Resort and Sanborn Regional Park.

Are there bathrooms, showers, and sinks for camping?

Heck yes, we want you to be taking it outside and getting sweaty and dirty! Restrooms, showers, and drinking water will be available to all on-site campers at no extra cost.

When should I arrive?

Early check in for camping will open at 3pm on Thursday. Come to Check-In upon your arrival and we’ll provide you with your camping bracelets and assigned camping location. Do NOT go pick out a camping location and set up camp before coming to the Check-In tent first!

If you aren’t camping, but want to check in early, the early Check-In is open on Thursday from 3-6pm. Come get a jump start on Friday morning’s early activities by getting your wristband Thursday.

What if I can’t arrive on Thursday night?

The check-in tent will open at 8am on Friday morning. We’ll be waiting for you.

Absolutely not! Just bring your excitement - our expert instructors will help take care of the rest. We have designed the class structure to accommodate beginners, intermediates, and experts.

Will I be able to change/modify my weekend schedule of activities?

Of course! We want you to explore, discover, and try the new and unexpected all weekend! Your schedule will be dynamic and adaptable until 5pm on Sunday. This means if you aren’t going to attend a class that you previously registered for, please drop out so someone else has the chance to take your spot.

Who will guide the activities?

Industry experts and professional guides will be leading a majority of the technical activities. Sched, CamelBak Pursuit Series' scheduling platform, will highlight specific guides and instructors as they become known.

Yes. Not only is the required equipment for all of your activities and classes provided, but you will be using some of the best gear in the industry.

Do I have to participate in all the activities and classes?

No, you have complete control over your schedule and you can make your days as busy or as relaxed as you like. We actually recommend to leave some unstructured time in your schedule to explore the site, make friends, or just relax in a hammock.

Will there be cell coverage and/or Wi-Fi at the locations?

CamelBak Pursuit locations are in the mountains where cell service isn’t always 100% reliable, depending on your provider and the area.  But typically, the signal is there.

Wi-Fi at Snowbasin Resort will be available in or near the resort’s main lodges.

Currently, there is no Wi-Fi at Sanborn Co Park, although the county has plans to bring Wi-Fi into all parks soon.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide a much more detailed pack list shortly, but we recommend preparing as you would for a camping trip. The weather should be nice, but variable. As the weekend approaches, check the weather and make sure you are bringing clothes and gear to match.

are pets allowed?

As much as we love our 4-legged friends, they all need to all need to stay at home.  But as soon as you get back home, take them out for a weekend-long camping trip and they’ll forget all about being left home while you were having fun at Pursuit!
